On 12th-13th of September the final conference of “Doctoral Programs in Public Health and Social Sciences” Erasmus + project was held. The proceedings of the conference were published and presented in a digest called “Doctoral Research in Public Health and Social Sciences”. The articles involved in the digest refers to the public health and social sciences (social work, social policy) and presents the results of the researches conducted in those fields. The articles of the partner universities members, as well as the PhD students are presented in the digest.

A group of 13 PhD students and Supervising Professors from 2 Armenian (Yerevan State Medical University, Yerevan State University) and 2 Georgian Universities (Tbilisi State University, University of Georgia) took part in the summer course on Epidemiology and Biostatistics at University of Gothenburg, Sweden. The summer course was implemented under the umbrella of the “Doctoral Programmes in Public Health and Social Sciences” ERASMUS+ programme funded by the European Union. Within the “Doctoral Programmes in Public Health and Social Sciences (DPPHSS)” Erasmus + CBHE project a digest of the articles called “Doctoral Education and Practice in Public Health and Social Sciences: International Perspectives” has been published. The work is devoted to the different countries experience analysis in public health and social work practices and in developing doctoral programs in Public Health and Social Sciences. The digest collects project’s consortium members and other partners’ articles on the abovementioned subjects and presents a midterm milestone of the project. You can find the digest here. Young researchers and PhD students are invited to participate in the final International conference of Erasmus+ “Doctoral Programs of Public Health and Social Science” to be held on September 12-13 at Yerevan State Medical University. To participate, please, submit full-text articles in the field of Public Health, Epidemiology, Environmental Health and Social Sciences (in English). The deadline for submission of article(s) is May 31th. There are no limitations for number of coauthors and no page’s limits. As a respond to the global crisis situation caused by the Covid- 19, significant changes have been made in the activities plan of “Doctoral Programs in Public Health and Social Sciences” project. The changes were mainly related to the milestones and dates of their achievement. Despite to that, the partner universities continued their activities directed towards realization of the main goals and objectives of the project. During the last year of the project YSU team developed Social Work PhD course structure and presented it to its partners within the consortium. After that the consortium discussed the structure during an on-line meeting held in August of this year and confirmed it. The proposed structure of the PhD course is confirmed also by the quality control and monitoring team of the project. On September 1st an on-line project management meeting was initiated by the Yerevan State Medical University: the Coordinator of the DPPHSS Project. Due to the global situation caused by the Covid-19, the trainings and meetings planned within the Project had been postponed. For discussing the further activities within the Project and planning their implementation in the pandemic situation, the on-line project management meeting was held. All representatives of the Partner universities responsible for the project coordination attended the meeting. Yerevan State Medical University (Armenia) has announced admission of the students for “Public Health and heath care administration” PhD Program. The details and criteria for applying procedures are presented on the website of the university. The development of the PhD program and recruitment of the students are the part of the “Doctoral Programs in Public Health and Social Sciences” Erasmus + K2 CBHE Project. By this announcement the University meets the main goals of the Project.
